The Lung Transplant Project is a nonprofit organization dedicated to funding lung transplant research, accelerating medical advances, and improving outcomes for all lung transplant patients. The Lung Transplant Project was founded by a group of very grateful patients who received life-extending lung transplants at New York Presbyterian/Columbia University Medical Center. To honor the selfless donors, doctors, and researchers who gave them a second chance at life, they came together to raise funds for breakthrough research that is destined to give other lung disease patients a longer, fuller, richer life.
To support the research that will minimize rejection and infection and reduce waiting time for lung transplant patients; to build a community of patients, caregivers, and medical staff; to advocate and educate about lung transplant issues, to support disadvantaged transplant patients.
At the Lung Transplant Project, we dream of a day in the not-too-distant future when there is no lung transplant waiting list. No threat of organ rejection. No infection. Right now, over 100 researchers are working tirelessly to make this happen. Join us in our effort to accelerate their work. Your generous donation will help researchers move groundbreaking medical advances forward–and save lives.
